Don’t Feed The Animals

Don't Feed The Animals is a clothing brand I started when I was a naive 19 year old.  I'm a slightly less naive 24 year old now, and can look back at myself and laugh a little.  5 years ago, I embarked on the journey of entrepreneurship.  The journey has been filled with a lot of ups and downs.  I've considered quitting many times.  When I first started, I really had no idea what I was doing.  I entered into the extremely competitive field of retail clothing, not realizing that anyone who creates a t-shirt becomes a competitor.  I figured that I could make a tee better than anyone, how naive.

I didn't realize that, since it was so simple and easy to make a clothing brand, that everyone would do it.  I also struggle with selling and marketing my products, which of course produces lackluster results.  Regardless of these things, from the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey I wanted to do things a little different.  I wanted to create a brand that stood for something.  A brand that would challenge us to view the way we treat each other.  A brand that helped us realize that the biggest enemy to human existence is our own human nature.
